Corpse Xiong was a late Nascent Soul stage Deputy Lord of Myriad Demon Valley. He was a Corpse Bear, a spirit beast of a human cultivator. They descended from the Spirit Realm to the Mortal Realm in the past. Later he turned into a refined corpse.[1] [2]
Kunwu Mountain[]
After the seal of Kunwu Mountain was broken, Corpse Xiong was sent by Old Demon Che there. He was to assist Long Meng in hopes of learning about a reverse spirit stream to the Spirit Realm.[2]
Using the Form Enchantment Pearl, he disguised himself as Master Scatterwind.[3] At the entrance he met Sacred Poison Sect's Grand Elder Hua Tianqi and Yin Sifting Sect's Grand Elder old Devil Qian. Then he gathered 4 other vagrant Nascent Soul cultivators and headed in together with them.[4]
Using the chaos, as Master Scatterwind, he killed many Nascent Soul cultivators, like Yin Sifting Sect Elder or Old man Fu. It was to power up his replica of Devil Dragon Blade.[5] [6] Outside of the Devil Suppressing Pagoda, he tried to ambush Han Li, but he failed and after seeing Divine Devilbane Lightning, he fled.[7]
Later, as Zheng Wei, he entered the Devil Suppressing Pagoda too, before exit was sealed by Elder Devil Ancestor Yuan Cha's soul fragment. Inside, he was caught by Han Li, Gui Ling, Grand Immortal Xu, Lin Yinping, the Nightfiend and Lion Hawk.[8] He stealthly persuaded 2 demons to join forces. During opening the exit, Master Scatterwind turned into white-furred monster corpse, the Nightfiend and Lion Hawk turned against others.[1] Han Li recognzied the monster corspe as the Corpse Xiong. After witnessing Han Li's abilities, Corpse Xiong and 2 demons left.[9]
After Yuan Cha's soul fragment bewitched junior sister of Immortal Form Sect's Lady Mu and gained Dragon Call Crest, everyone was teleported to 9th floor. There Long Meng, Corpse Xiong, Ye Clan Grand Elder, the Nightfiend and Lion Hawk fought against Devil Ancestor Yuan Cha in the two-headed wolf form. The Black Wind Flag clashed with the Eight Spirit Ruler. Lady Mu fought against her bewitched junior sister. Newly arrived, Master Sable and Daoist Sevenwonders also joined the fray.[10] Corpse Xiong was assisting Long Meng in reclaiming her body posessed by Devil Sacred Ancestor.[2] Lion Hawk and Nightfiend were killed.[11] Then Yuan Cha's soul fragment transformed Ye Yuesheng into giant three-headed six-armed Jialun War Devil. Master Sable was burnt into nothingness.[12] While Corpse Xiong, Gui Ling and Lin Yinping fought Jialun War Devil, Devil Ancestor detonated the Black Wind Flag, and a black hole and spatial tears appeared, which sucked Daoist Sevenwonders into one of them.[13] Long Meng released Xiang Zhili from Phantasmic Air to help them, but Yuan Cha's soul fragment opened the seal releasing poweful devilish Qi. Allied cultivators managed to escape to the 7th floor.[14]
Ling Long wanted to go back and retrieve her true body to return to the Spirit Realm. Corpse Xiong tried to dissuade her and invite her to meet with Old Demon Che, who was her acquaintance. Ling Long saw through his intentions, that they wanted her to share information about reverse spirit streams to the Spirit Realm. She told them that reverse spirit streams could only be opened by contacting someone in the Spirit Realm, who was willing to open them,[15] but there was also weak spatial nodes connecting the two realms. For information about it, she asked for their Devil Dragon Blade replica and 2 Worldbreaker Talismans. Then Xiang Zhili and Corpse Xiong left.[16]

It is unknown whether Zheng Wei, known as Master Scatterwind, was ever a real cultivator or it was always an alter ego of Corpse Xiong.
