Devil Concord was a late Nascent Soul stage Grand Elder of the Harmonious Bond Sect.
Devil Concord was a title of each successive generation of the Harmonious Bond Sect's Grand Elder.[1]
Moulan invasion[]
Devil Concord presided the meeting with mid Nascent Soul cultivators together with Wei Wuya and Master Sunreach.[1] They briefed them about a challenge from Moulan. Both Master Sunreach and Devil Concord had highly valued Long Han. Whenever a matter related to the Heavenly Dao Alliance came up, they had always asked for his opinion. When no one was volunteering to wagered battles, Devil Concord forced Devil Cloudpart to participate.[2]
As the final battle between forces of Heavenly South and Moulan Tribes was nearing, Sunreach, Devil Concord, Wei Wuya, Long Han and Feng Bing met to discuss last details, like about involvement of Devil Dao cultivators from Jin Empire. Eccentric Heavenvenge appeared and agreed to their plan.[3] When 10 participants of wagered battles were trapped by the Bloodcatching Barrier, Wei Wuya and Master Sunreach fought 2 Divine Sages and Devil Concord fought Sect Master Fang.[4] Suddenly, Sifting Yin Sect Master sensed his wife's death. Devil Concord was blocking him, but the former took out a Ghost Sifting Banner.[5] Then, Divine Sages received news about the attack of Soaring Tribes. Both sides stopped fighting and later agreed to unite against the common enemy.[6]
Whirlpool[]
After an Elder Devil Bloodflame escaped from Devilfall Valley, it damaged the sealing formation in the Endless Sea. A giant whirlpool came about and seven small islands have emerged around it. Along with Master Sunreach and Wei Wuya, Devil Concord resided there and studied the whirlpool. About three decades later, Han Li returned, after being pulled into a spatial tear in Devilfall Valley. He was invited to them, because of his Divine Devilbane Lightning.[7] They explained him what the Elder Devil has done, how the sealing formation, which was supressing devilish Qi, was loosing its spiritual Qi bit by bit. The release of devilish Qi could taint at least half of the Heavenly South Continent making it uninhabitable for human cultivators.[8] Devil Concord probed Wei Wuya, if he feared Han Li becoming too strong and suppressing the entire Heavenly South, but the older cultivator dismissed it. He said it was not worthy to antagonize Han Li.[9] Han Li agreed to go down the whirlpool to restore the formation.[10] After he returned to the surface, the three cultivators were relieved. The formation was to be fixed.[11]
Emergence of the Fourth Great Cultivator[]
About 100 years later, the Drifting Cloud Sect held a grand ceremony to celebrate the emergence of another late Nascent Soul stage cultivator within the Heavenly South. Invited Devil Concord participated in it with many other Nascent Soul cultivators. Han Li had challenged both Wei Wuya and Old Devil Concord at once and easily defeated them. They and other mid Nascent Soul stage Elders were shocked by his abilities.[12] Han Li gained a reputation as the number one cultivator in the Heavenly South Region.[13]
Later, Devil Concord brought a Wood Spirit Gathering Bead to the Ghost Spirit Sect claiming that their sect had once lent it to the Harmonious Bond Sect and advised them to seek Han Li's help with their situation gifting him this treasure. He wanted to increase Han Li's rate of cultivation, so that he would reach the Deity Transformation stage bottleneck faster.[14] That's because Spirit Gathering Beads were inherently flawed treasures, but Han Li easily saw through his scheme.[15]
