Sect Leader sends Han Li to rest. Turns out his testimony and letters can hardly be considered evidence, so he sends a letter at the Yellow Maple Stable. At Golden Drum Plain, Fu Yunzi of the Clear Void Sect and Elder Han of the Spirit Beast Mountain enter to greet Li Huayuan and Red Whisk. Han Li's letter arrive at the front line, but is intercepted by Elder Han, who insists he will deliver it instead. He breaks the letter.
Han Li visits Hundred Herbs Garden, which is in a sorry state. There he is greeted by Xiao Zhen and Xiao Cui, who have joined the sect. Senior Ma greets him, and dismisses the others. Ma says he's leaving to lie low outside the sect, since he senses that somethings not right in the sect. He advises Han Li to prepare for his own escape, and tells of a hidden cave with supplies he gifts to Han Li for breaking into the Core Formation stage.
A few days later, Han Li returns to his cave, where the Blood Jade Spiders have hatched. He talks to Zhang Tie, but is saddened at Qu Hun's unresponsiveness. He places the spiders in Spiritual Beast Ball. He senses something at the entrance of his formation: a letter from Chen Qiaoqian, reminding him to come to White Daisy Mountain. There is a grave of Wu Mian, the uncle who welcomed him into the sect. He pays his respects.
