The ship is ambushed by acolytes led by Hongfeng and Kulou. Kulou delivers the whisk of the defeated Fu Yunzi to Hong Fu. She begs for passage for the disciples, which the couple rejects. Hong Fu fights them to buy time for the disciples to flee. Kulou fights Hong Fu, while Hongfeng pursues the disciples.
