Synopsis[]
Distrustful, Han Li lures Elder Gu into his Jadewater Azure Armor Formation on a deserted mooring island and defeats him. Before continuing his flight, he steals Elder Gu's pouch and sets his corpse on fire. A while later, Wu Chou arrives to the scene and reports to the patriarch, who dropped by to inspect the situation. He reports that Feng Xi slipped away in the chaos, and that the youngster may have something to do with the traitor Ji Xuan since he possesses Dark Moon Arts.
Elsewhere, Zi Ling is granted audience with Elder Liu, who's currently recovering in Heavenly Star City from his injuries incurred in the battle against the Thunder Roc. He assigns Zhao Zheng as "regent" of the Exquisite Sound Sect until Zi Ling forms a core and assumes the role of sect leader for herself, which is essentially an attempt to take over her sect with her as a puppet head.
One month later, Han Li and Qu Hun emerges from the sea. They've spent half a month hiding in the sea, another by going around the inner sea, and now have been on the run for three days without rest. All the while leaving misleading traces at the places he's stopped by. Looking for a place to hide and break through to the Core Formation stage, he decides upon the inconspicuous Sea Monkey Island.

Seeing how Elder Gu was willing to kill a close friend, Han Li decides not to trust his words and attacks. They lure him into the Jadewater Azure Armor Formation they set up earlier, before finally managing to defeat him.
A while later, Wu Chou arrives at the scene, only to discover that Elder Gu was defeated. He takes this to confirm his suspicions that Qu Hun's cultivation method truly is the Dark Moon Arts. This prompts the patriarch to inquire, to which Wu Chou reports that the great formation at Stalwart Star Island has been destroyed. They even drew out Star Palace's Elder Liu to an all-out fight against the Thunder Roc. Unfortunately, Feng Xi took the chance to slip away.
This task was entrusted to us by the Saint of the Six Paths to test the surroundings. The top two of Star Palace still Wouldn't take action even after this. Turns out Wu Chou is interested in Han Li, thinking he's related to the traitor Ji Xuan. Still a century until Void Heaven Hall reopens, which Ji Xuan must be anxious about like the patriarch, and there they'll get to mend old grievances. Wu Chou heads off after satisfying the patriarch with his report.

They are unconcerned about Zenith Yin Island, but it's the person behind them that's causing them trouble. Their topmost priority is to repair the barrier between Inner and Outer Sea, and stop high level beasts from entering. To ensure that Melodious Harmony Sect's traditions are not broken, he orders Zhao Zheng to assist her by assuming the role of her elder until she has formed a core and can assume the position of sect leader herself. Wang Ning realizes this was just a mask to take over her sect, and place her as a puppet head, and comments on how despicably an elder acts.
One month later, Han Li and Qu Hun emerges from the sea. They've been on the run for three days without sleep. He hid in the sea for half a month, and went around ther inner sea for another half month. In this time, he's left misleading traces at places where he's stopped by. He finally inspects Elder Gu's pouch: Black Heavens Spear, Immemorial Bowl and five Dusted Descent Pills. Looking for a place to hide and break through to the Core Formation Stage, he decides upon the Sea Monkey Island with thin spiritual aura and doesn't attract attention.
