Tian Zhong was one of four late Nascent Soul stage Divine Sages of Moulan Tribes.[1]
Moulan invasion[]
After losing to the Soaring Tribes, Moulan Tribes reached an agreement with the Yin Sifting Sect from Jin Empire.[2] They decided to invade the Heavenly South Continent and started another war with Nine Nations Union.[3]
As the final battle between forces of Heavenly South and Moulan Tribes was nearing, 4 Divine Sages met with Yin Sifting Sect Master Fang. Divine Sages didn't want them to collect souls of their spell warriors, but were forced to accept that. Sect Master Fang asked to apprehend Han Li alive, who easily killed their Elder Heavenweep with Divine Devilbane Lightning. They then agreed to have him killed, since he was difficult to capture.[2] [4] When discussing the matter of Han Li, the task of killing him was given to Tian Zhong. He received 2 Heavenly Tigers and treasures with restriction abilities.[5]
At the beginning of the battle, 10 wagered battles about participant's possessions and the freedom of a hundred captive cultivators happened. Moulans used this to entrap 10 powerful cultivators from Heavenly South with Yin Sifting Sect's Bloodcatching Barrier. At the same time, Divine Sage Zhong and Divine Sage Bi fought Master Sunreach and Wei Wuya, while Sect Master Fang faced Devil Concord. Long Han served as the commander of the Heavenly South Army and Divine Sage Zhu commanded the army of spell warrior.[6] After Han Li escaped the Bloodcatching Barrier, exterminating a group of spell warriors and the body of a Sage, Tian Zhong immediately noticed him. As Han Li was about to release another trapped participant of wagered battles, Tian Zhong approached him to prevent that. At the same time, Feng Bing appeared to battle the fourth Moulan Divine Sage, allowing Han Li to continue. While facing Feng Bing, he sent 2 Heavenly Tigers and his incarnation after Han Li.[1] When Han Li used Spirit Subjugation Talisman, he killed Heavenly Tigers easily.[5] Cultivator Bai managed to break through the Bloodcatching Barrier by herself. She joined Feng Bing to fight Tian Zhong.[7] Suddenly, Divine Sage Zhu received news about the attack of Soaring Tribes. Both sides stopped fighting and later agreed to unite against the common enemy.[8]
