Wan Sangu (aka Mad Matron) is a late Nascent Soul cultivator regarded as the number one figure of the Righteous Dao in the Scattered Star Seas. She is the grand elder of the Myriad Gates of Enlightenment sect and the co-leader of the Starfall Coalition.

Biography[]

Background[]

Wan Sangu is the most powerful Righteous Dao cultivator in the Scattered Star Seas, serving as the grand elder for the Myriad Gates of Enlightenment. She is the only late Nascent Soul cultivator practicing the Righteous Dao in the Scattered Star Seas, and since there is only one other late Nascent Soul cultivator practicing the Devil Dao in this region, her existence is responsible for a state of relative peace between the practitioners of the Devil and Righteous Daos.

Formation of Starfall Coalition[]

After the event so the Heavenvoid Hall, the Righteous Dao and the Devil Dao cultivators in the Scattered Star Seas form an alliance to fight against the might of the Star Palace. Wan Sangu and the Archsaint Six Paths, who is the lone late Nascent Soul cultivator of the Devil Dao in this region, lead the Starfall Coalition.

After the Starfall Coalition emerged, they encircled and pushed back the Star Palace to the Heavenly Star City. As a leader of the coalition, Wan Sangu personally attempted to assault the Heavenly Star City to crush the Star Palace. This attempt awoke the Heavenly Star Sages from seclusion.[1] Underestimating their power, she was forced to retreat. Now awake, the Star Palace began regaining ground lost to the coalition.

Death[]

Wan Sangu knew that the sages cultivated the Divine Essencefused Light and were bound to the Heavenly Star City. Knowing that they were reaching the end of their lifespans, she along with the coalition decided to pursue a war of attrition. Unfortunately, she did not know that that there existed a one-month period that occurs every century, where the Heavenly Star Sages were free to roam across the Inner Star Seas.[2][3]

Unknown to Wan Sangu, the Heavenly Star Sages decided to kill both Wan Sangu and Archsaint Six Paths so that there would be no other late Nascent Soul cultivators in the Scattered Star Seas unaffiliated with the Star Palace. When the restrictions disappeared, the sages traveled to the main base of the Starfall Coalition and started massacring all the Nascent Soul cultivators within with overwhelming might. When Wan Sangu and Archsaint Six Paths entered the battle, the two sages used a technique to detonate all the power of the Divine Essencefused Light they had gained throughout their lifespan. This resulted in a doomsday explosion that completely and utterly destroyed her and several Nascent Soul cultivators belonging to the Starfall Coalition.[4] Only the Archsaint Six Paths survived this attack, but just barely with his nascent soul narrowly escaping the scene using an unanticipated evasion technique after his body was thoroughly destroyed.

Aftermath[]

Unfortunately, Wan Sangu's death upset the balance of power between the Devil and Righteous Dao cultivators in the Inner Star Seas. Somehow, her counterpart managed to survive the blast and took advantage of the power imbalance to severely damage the practitioners of the Righteous Dao by taking over the body of Wan Tianming.[5]

Powers[]

She has a Glacial Dragon Spirit Beast that she treasures to the point where she would never leave its side. However, when Wan Tianming entered the Heavenvoid Hall, she made an exception and lend him her Glacial Dragon Spirit Beast to aid him on his quest to obtain the Heavenvoid Cauldron.[6]
