Zhong Weiniang was a Foundation Establishment cultivator residing in the Heavenly South Region. She is a member of the Yellow Maple Valley sect and the favorite disciple of Li Huayuan. She was considered a genius having formed her foundation by the age of sixteen. She was lover/partner of Liu Jing, and was devastated when he sacrificed himself.
First Meeting[]
Zhong Weiniang was given a mission to assist Han Li in eliminating practitioners of the Devil Dao that had taken over the Empire of the State of Yue. Along with her martial brothers and sisters, she gathered at a meeting location to discuss the situation. Here she met Han Li for the first time. After she learned of the situation, she went to go solicit assistance from Martial Sister Chen.
Reinforcements arrived consisting of Martial Sister Chen, three of her apprentices and her Senior Martial Sister. Zhong Weiniang took the opportunity to introduce Han Li as her new little brother to the newly arrived reinforcements. However, she was shocked to learn that Han Li had a fearsome reputation as having slain over 10 Devil Dao cultivators of the same grade. She was embarrassed and scolded her Senior Martial Brother Song Meng for not telling her about the accomplishments of her new little brother.
Emperor of Yue[]
After preparations were complete, Zhong Weiniang participated in the assault on the Devil Dao practitioners from the Black Fiend School that had taken over the empire. She was organized into a group whose mission was to rescue the emperor of the State of Yue. Her martial brothers provided a distraction by battling the cultivators from the school. Her group was successful at rescuing the emperor. Unfortunately the other group wasn't as successful and suffered casualties. The man that she had a crush on died.
In a moment of distraction caused by her loss, Zhong Weiniang was saved from an attack by her Martial Sister Chen. It turned out the Emperor himself was actually a practitioner of the Devil Dao. The group suffered further casualties as the emperor and his minions killed her allies. She was shocked when she witnessed Han Li's ability simultaneously use 200 talismans in a bid to stall and save his allies. Now realizing the situation she grew angry at her loss and wanted to attack the Emperor. However she was dissuaded by Han Li who convinced her and her remaining allies to retreat.
Zhong Weiniang was further surprised by her martial brother Han Li who used the retreat as a ploy to lure the emperor into a formation. She assisted Han Li in a struggle for survival against the emperor. Her efforts paid off when Han Li managed to slay the emperor. She was pleased that her sweetheart was avenged. However, she mourned her sweethearts death and brought back his remains to his clan.
Failed Ascension[]
Shortly after the battle against the emperor, Zhong Weiniang faced more misfortune. The Devilish Dao Alliance had won a decisive battle. As a member of the Yellow Maple Valley sect, she was forced to abandon her home and flee from the State of Yue. She fled with the sect to the Nine Nations Union where she continued to cultivate. Unfortunately she was unable to reach Core Formation before her lifespan ran out.
